May was physical therapy (with lunches out as a reward), but we also left the house for other reasons...
Quilt Guild brought a lecture and trunk show by Barb Vedder (her blog here)...very enjoyable!
and inspiring - here's a detail from one of her quilts...hexagons and diamonds (tumbling block variations)...it's the variety of material that makes it look really really complex...
We also made it out to Urban Art's event, where Reid had her booth...we're both wearing one of her jackets...only difference is I already owned mine and hers was for sale...
On Memorial Day, Dave had a memorial service with the Sons of Union Veterans...where he was able to leave the small wreath I made...they have to keep the larger one for all the services they hold throughout the year...
And we were able to have a Date Day (not really necessary anymore since we can spend every day together doing whatever we like) - a great movie at the Angelica and a good lunch after...I think our time of movies at night (outside the house) have long gone...neither of us like leaving the house after dark unless it's necessary...
I love how we have so many laughs together...
The month was very art-centric for me...worked on Artists Trading Cards (ATCs) for an upcoming swap...
And also took this small piece of fabric I had previously painted/dyed...
added some embroidery and charms and attached to the front of a card (another upcoming swap)
For future ATCs or cards, cut up some previously painted/dyed stabalizer
and paper towels
Ironed on fusible web to the back, cut them up, added backing, and now they are in the ATC stash ready to embellish!
Amazingly enough...I didn't take any Raider photos - but, trust me, he was his ever-entertaining self the entire month!
