March Madness

and, no, it has nothing to do with basketball...

Month started out with no snow...but a few days into the month comes the full moon and more snow as seen in a previous blog...
I can still track...snow means nothing to me!!!

and so it went for the next couple of weeks....

but it cleared up in time for the Dallas Quilt Show on 3/14...of course, with 400+ quilts to see, it's almost impossible to see everything...
but I got to hang out with friends and have a good time and see cool stuff and my mini-quilts brought in a decent amount of money for charity.

The next day, Sunday, 3/15, Dave was working in the yard and had a run-in with a rotten railroad tie and, for his trouble, managed to obtain a spiral fracture to the ankle...Ouch does not begin to cover it...words were said, but we got him to the emergency room, where they got him x-rayed and stabilized so that a plate could be surgically inserted in the ankle the next morning...
After keeping him a couple of days, they drugged him up and let him come home...
Norm came over and saved the day by installing handrails into the living room, and they have been awesome!
So now the remainder of the month has pretty much looked like this
We're both looking forward to Thursday, when the cast comes off and he can maybe put some weight on that leg again.

Well...at least it's Spring...
